Introduction to Jewelry Metals:

students learn: riveting, soldering, chain making skills, and surface embellishment techniques during this first exposure to jewelry and metals.

Metalsmithing Techniques:

students learn: cold forging from 1/4 inch rectangular copper stock, how to raise a symmetrical vessel from flat sheet metal, and chasing and repousse skills. this class focuses on hammer and hand skills, and is open to any advanced student who has already taken intro to jewelry metals.

CAD for Jewelry:

Students learn: How to use Adobe Illustrator for laser cutting purposes and use laser cutting as a way to mass produce in a time efficient manner, how to use Rhinoceros for basic 3-D modeling, rendering, and printing. This section of student work is in progress and will be added to until December 2014.
